I-90 Chaos As Food Truck Goes Up In Flames

A food truck caught on fire while traveling on a major highway in Illinois, and unfortunately, the tasty meals didn't make it.

I have driven on I-90 so many times in my life, I believe I could navigate the busy highway blindfolded. My mom lives in the suburbs, so I make the trip in to see her all the time. Thinking about it, the road is pretty easy to drive on because it's pretty much a straight shot.

If I had to describe I-90 in one word, it would be "crazy." I'm not even kidding. It doesn't matter when you're on it; there's always a bunch of traffic. It's filled with maniacs and speed demons. I've experienced so many insane things while on that major highway, nothing surprises me. I could probably write a book about it.

The last time I went to visit my mom, of course, something crazy happened. There was a food truck on the side of the road, and it had caught on fire. By the time we passed the incident, the danger was over. Unfortunately, all the tasty food was burned up. I couldn't even imagine the smell. Luckily, no one was injured.

According to Fox 32 Chicago...

Illinois State Police said troopers responded to the scene around 9:40 a.m. near milepost 65.5 for a report of a vehicle fire.

The food truck was on the right shoulder, and all lanes were closed while the fire was being extinguished.

The truck was removed from the roadway by a local tow company.
