Beware of the itchy fleas that are flooding the Stateline area.

Gross. Fleas. It's a fact of life though, isn't it?

If you have a pet you are familiar with the itchy flea bugs.

According to WIFRthese little varmints are infesting homes all over the Stateline area! Eek!

Maybe you are tempted to stop reading this article because you don't have pets at home.

Just because your home is pet-free doesn't mean you are immune to a flea infestation.

Fleas could have latched on your clothing last fall and their eggs could have just hatched. If you do not have pets, you may be able to remove the fleas just by vacuuming your house. If you do have a flea infestation you may have experienced a flea bite. According to Orkin, flea bites cause a great deal of discomfort and are very itchy.

If you have a cat, it may be less easy to rid your home of fleas. Fleas love cats. If your cat is an indoor or outdoor cat, fleas can be a big problem. In order to remove the fleas and prevent an infestation, there are many products available at local pet stores. You may also contact your local veterinarian.

Same goes for dogs, yet cats are preferred by fleas.
