End Of Watch Call for Deputy Jacob Keltner

Thousands of people showed up for the visitation and funeral this week of McHenry County Sheriff's Deputy Jacob Keltner who was shot and killed Thursday, March 7, 2019 while serving a warrant in Rockford.

The entire City of Rockford banded together once again in grief and support for law enforcement officers and the family of Deputy Keltner, but nothing puts the tragic loss in perspective like hearing the final End of Watch radio call.

I remember the emotions that flowed through me when I heard the End of Watch call for Rockford Police Officer Jaimie Cox. It's devastating. It's powerful. It's closure for a family of blue who has lost one of their own.

Hearing the final call for Deputy Keltner brought all those same emotions back, and I honestly hope I never have to hear one of these calls ever again.
