Another thing I remember my family doing quite a bit when I was growing up was going on boat rides. If we traveled somewhere that had one, we were usually on it. Nothing against the touristy boat rides, but they were usually on a calm passenger boat with lots of commentary about the history of the area. As a young boy, I wanted more excitement. I wish there was something like this was I was young.

In Eagle River, Wisconsin they have a very unique boat ride. It's a pirate experience. You ride on an actual pirate ship and the crew is pirates. I would've loved that as a kid. They offer public rides but you can actually rent it for just yourself with family and friends. How cool is that? Even thought, I'm and adult I still want to check it out.
