This has been going on in my neighborhood for about 2 weeks.

I saw this tweet over the weekend and thought "Yes! I do have a guy in my neighborhood doing this. I asked Riley, my co-host, and he said he's been hearing similar things in his neighborhood as well.

Has everyone else heard these the past few weeks? Is it usually like this so far in advance of the Fourth of July? I don't remember it starting this early in past years.

I'll give the person in my neighborhood credit, he (or she, but it's definitely a he) doesn't set anything off past 8:30 so it's not bothering anyone's sleeping. I totally get it, I love setting things on fire, always have, it just seems like an odd time for everyone around the country to start randomly setting off bottle rockets every night.
