Some things just seem simple. Like everyone is almost born knowing these things. Don't jump off a bridge. Don't punch yourself in the face. Don't leave kids and pets in a hot car. For some reason, it's this last thing that trips up some people. There have already been several stories in the news recently about kids and pets trapped in hot cars. People are getting more emboldened nowadays and calling the cops. Those cops show up, bust your window out, hand out tickets, a spectacle develops, and you'll be shamed as the crappy parent or pet owner. There's probably some state-sponsored 'get right' class you'll have to pay to attend as well. So, do yourself, your kids and pets a favor and DO NOT LEAVE THEM IN PARKED VEHICLES!

I recently put my ass on the line and spent some time in my parked vehicle. The outside temperature was only 72 degrees. Not very hot really. Quite comfortable.

Watch how fast the heat rises as I struggle to stay coherent. You'll also see how co-workers just walk by as I agonize in the parking lot.
