A group of children in Illinois were out exploring in nature when they discovered something very scary and they had to call the police to investigate the situation.

Do you remember the movie, "Stand By Me?" The basic plot of the film, is a group of friends went on an adventure to find this dead body that they overheard someone talking about. They went through some difficult moments while they were out exploring.

I remember as a kid, especially in the summertime, taking off for an adventure every day. We would leave our homes in the morning and not getting back until dinner. Our parents had no idea where we were. We had some times while exploring but nothing like the teens in the movie.

A group of kids were out exploring in Springfield, when they happened about something frightening. It was a human skull. They found it in a dried up creek bed. That had to of been really scary for those children. No, other bones were found. The police are conducting an investigation to find out who it is.

According to News Channel 20...

A group of children playing in a dried-up creek bed in the Lake Pointe Subdivision in Springfield found a human skull on Sept. 20.

 

According to Coroner Jim Allmon, the children found a human skull around 1 p.m. in the 6200 block of Winterberry Lane.

 

Allmon collected the skull, noting that no other bones were found at the scene.
