Chicago Is #3 City For Bed Bugs
Pest control company, ORKIN, put together a list of the top 50 cities in the United States based on an 11-month study. Chicago almost topped the list and near-by Milwaukee wasn't far behind.
The list is based on treatment data from the metro areas where Orkin performed the most bed bug treatments from December 1, 2016 – November 30, 2017. The ranking includes both residential and commercial treatments.
Chicago was right after Washington, D.C. (#2) and Baltimore (#1). Don't think a short drive to Milwaukee is much better - they're on the list at #29.
Rockford didn't make the 'top 50' list but has had 10 reports of beg bugs at Rockford hotels/motels since 2015 and recently as a year ago at Baymont Inn and Suites on N. Lyford Road. BedBugReports.com says five other hotels/motels received complaints since 2015.
