So here's a wide receiver for the Chicago Bears that might ring a bell, but for all the wrong reasons...Sam Hurd. Anyone, anyone? This is a gut that spent some time in the league bouncing around team to team, but he had "OTHER" business ideas.

Sam Hurd was sentenced to 15 years in prison back in 2013, for his part in a massive three state drug trafficking ring. the former Chicago Bear pleaded guilty in 2013, for possession of cocaine with the intent to deliver.

In the summer of 2011 Sam Hurd began his efforts to make this a three statewide business with dealers, and employees to help him distribute cocaine.

The former Northern Illinois Huskie was busted in Chicago outside of a steakhouse, when an undercover cop delivered him a kilo of cocaine in a package labeled "Happy Birthday."

The Chicago Bears released him in the middle of a three-year $5 million contract. This was the end of the road for Hurd.

The feds had Sam Hurd monitored for quite a while, as me distributed marijuana and cocaine.
