Robin Zander was on AXS TVs At Home and Social With and he talked about how the band has an album already done and ready to go.

He also discussed the band's new deal with BMG Music and this is the reason for the new album's delay.

We've made a lot of records, and we just continue making records — for ourselves mostly, but also for our immediate fans that still cling to us, "It's something, I think, that is our lifeblood; it keeps us going… And I believe that we still make quality records. If we didn't, we probably wouldn't do it anymore."

So it appears that covid isn't to blame for the delay in new Cheap Trick tunes being released. It also looks like we won't have to wait long before we'll hear this new material.

In September they released a cover of the David Bowie favorite Rebel Rebel.

This Thursday AXS is rerunning the episode of Live from Daryl's House which features Cheap Trick performing with Daryl Hall.
