Celebrating Ronnie Van Zant on The Eagle

The late Ronnie Van Zant of Lynyrd Skynyrd was born Jan 15th of 1948.This weekend we will celebrate the life and music of Ronnie Van Zant and Lynyrd Skynyrd.

On October of 1977 Ronnie died on impact after the airplane carrying the band crashed into a tree. Bandmates Steve Gaines, and Cassie Gaines, along with assistant road manager Dean Kilpatrick, pilot Walter McCreary, and co-pilot William Gray were also killed in the crash.
