Cat Food Has Been Recalled Due to Potential Deadly Side Effects

Cat owners check and see if you have this food, it could be dangerous to your pet.

J.M Smuckers Company has voluntarily recalled one lot of their Natural Balance canned cat food due to potentially deadly health concerns.

This comes after the company had received reports that pets were having adverse reactions to the 5.5oz cans of Natural Balance Ultra Premium Chicken & Liver Pate Formula.

It's believed that this could be due to elevated levels of choline chloride.

According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, cats that might eat this product could then suffer from nausea with excessive salivation, constricted pupils and poor vision, diarrhea or vomiting, or more severe symptoms like difficulty walking, muscle shaking, tremors, irregular heartbeat, difficulty breathing and possible cardiac or respiratory failure sometimes leading to death.

If you notice any of these symptoms in your pet should contact their vet right away.

At this time no other Natural Balance products have been recalled.
