"Captain Jack Day" in Rockford, IL is officially Oct. 31st 2022. On that day I will receive a proclamation from Mayor McNamara and the city of Rockford.

25 years ago this October I started working in radio, in Rockford. I remember that night because it was raining super hard and the winds were insane. I pulled down the driveway of my old station, and a tree fell in my path. I often wondered if that was some sort of sign...

I'm grateful for the opportunity to work in this community, everyday. 96.7 The Eagle is such an incredible platform to celebrate the POSITIVES and the awesome things happening in this community. You the 96.7 The Eagle listener, makes this complex job a lot easier, and fun.

So with me being presented a proclamation on Monday the 31st of October, yes it will be "Captain Jack Day" in Rockford...celebrate accordingly.
