We're still waiting to see what Brian Johnson's musical future holds, but in the meantime, the former AC/DC singer is keeping busy with a new travel series taking viewers along for his Life on the Road.

Details of the show's first season come courtesy of Team Rock, where it's reported that the British network Sky Arts plans to start broadcasting Brian Johnson's Life on the Road on April 28, with a premiere episode that sees Johnson meeting up with singer Roger Daltrey.

Calling Johnson "one of rock music’s iconic and tour-hardened frontmen," Sky promises Life on the Road will offer fans "a brand new and exclusive take on one aspect of the rock and roll life – live performance, touring and being on the road." The first season's scheduled to include six episodes in all; following Daltrey's appearance, subsequent installments will feature appearances from Lars Ulrich, Nick Mason, Sting, Joe Elliott and Robert Plant. Check out the complete schedule below.

Elliott offered a little behind-the-scenes perspective from his episode to listeners of his Planet Rock radio show, saying, "I was quite humbled to be invited to do it because the guests that he's got on the show are quite extraordinary. We spent about eight hours shooting the show. We were walking around the Temple Bar area of Dublin in the rain and wind. It was cold and horrible but we did spend most of it indoors ... he sampled Joe Elliott's Louder beer. To be quite honest, I think he quite enjoyed it."

Life on the Road is just Johnson's latest project since being forced to exit the AC/DC lineup due to hearing loss. As previously reported, he was announced last year as the host of Planet Rock's series The Producers.
