You know how the story goes, woman buys an Apollo 11 relic at an auction and then has it confiscated by NASA.

According to WIFR Nancy Lee Carlson of Inverness, Illinois bought a NASA artifact at an auction for just under $1000. She sent it off to get looked at by space officials, who decided to keep it. Government officials said the bag used to collect lunar samples during the Apollo 11 mission is a "rare" artifact.

So you have a piece of history, send it off to get looked at and they keep it? No $1000 refund? Not even like, "here's an Applebee's gift card for your trouble"?

What about a NASA t-shirt and some stickers? I feel as if Nancy did the right thing and is getting the shaft.
