There could be a possible condom shortage that might help cause a baby boom.

Recently, I read an article that said because of people living in a "Shelter in Place" world for several weeks, that it could spark a baby boom. Couples spending lots of time together at home and looking for something to entertain themselves. Well, you understand what I mean.

Not just the fact of couple having more "relations" but there could be another factor. Condoms might be hard to find.

According to kenoshanews.com,

"Karex Bhd. makes more than 20 percent of the world’s condoms, heralding itself as the “World’s Largest Condom Maker.” The company’s factories were closed for a week in response to the pandemic. That’s already a shortfall of 100 million condoms. It's now up and running again, deeming condom production a “critical” industry, but operating at only 50% capacity. It will take time to jump-start factories, and they will struggle to keep up with demand at half capacity. The company produces more than 5 billion condoms a year for 140 countries. There's going to see a global shortage of condoms everywhere, which is going to be scary. That shortage can run into months.”

Looks like condoms will now join toilet paper on the list of "hard to get" items at the store.
