It's the moment we all knew would happen eventually -- and, based on the immediacy of the news cycle and when late night shows are actually filmed, it's the moment most of us also knew was happening yesterday -- but 'Daily Show' host Jon Stewart has finally announced his retirement after seventeen years at the news desk. Stewart's show films in the late evenings in New York City, so the news that he had announced his imminent retirement during a taping last night hit the wire many hours before the show actually aired.

Jeff Bridges really, really, really wants to help you sleep. The 'Seventh Son' star recently popped up during the Super Bowl, touting, well, something during a somewhat strange and somewhat soothing commercial spot. Turns out, Bridges is actually selling what it looks like he's selling: sleep. Wait, what?

Sigh. 'The Tonight Show' temporarily moves to Los Angeles -- Hollywood, Tinsel Town, The Big Grapefruit, only one of those is a real nickname -- and is suddenly just flooded with random star power. Zzzzz.

For his latest round of "Celebrities Read Mean Tweets," Jimmy Kimmel trotted out his most star-studded line-up of celebs yet, including Gwyneth Paltrow, Lena Dunham, Gerard Butler, Ty Burrell, Bob Newhart, Britney Spears, Geena Davis, Chris Pratt, Chloe Grace Moretz, Scott Foley, Michael Chiklis, Ted Danson (Ted Danson? who tweets mean things about Ted Danson?), John Stamos, Lisa Kudrow, and Adam Sandler. But he also rounded up the meanest collection of, well, #meantweets ever. These tweets are really mean, you guys!

"Everybody wants one!" In celebration (maybe?) of this week's long-in-the-making 'Dumb and Dumber,' star Jim Carrey decided to really spice up his appearance last night on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live.' More precisely, he really wanted to Lloyd it up, doling out hideous Lloyd Christmas-styled bowl cuts to the good people of Hollywood Blvd. How could this possibly go wrong?

Here is a brief list of things that happened during Jennifer Lawrence's appearance on 'The Late Show' last night: she sang with host David Letterman, the duo discussed tummy troubles, they chatted about bowling, they both totally biffed introducing a clip, Lawrence begged Letterman to not retire, they walked out during a live taping, and then Lawrence took over the entire show.

Former 'SNL' head writer Seth Meyers has made it his business to bring some of those sketches cut from 'SNL' to his own 'Late Night' show, and the results have so far been uproarious. While Will Forte's cut bit got the full sketch treatment a few months ago, Bill Hader didn't need those same bells and whistles. After all, his snipped sketch just involved him putting on a weirdly nuanced impression of '60 Minutes' anchor Bob Simon.

The rules are simple (in fact, they're pretty much contained within the game's actual name) when it comes to Billy Eichner's 'Celebrity Child or Kentucky Derby Winner?' The 'Billy on the Street' host will name a particular name, and then you need to guess if it belongs to the child of a celebrity or a race-winning pony. Along the way, the loud-mouthed host will use his trademark screaming ability to drive things right along, and if you can get through the tricky trivia and the ear-splitting growl, you can win a dollar for each correct answer.

Most of the time, Jimmy Fallon confines the 'Tonight Show' games to just one or two participants, enough to keep things clean and easy to follow, with plenty of attention for his various guests. On last night's edition, however, the host decided to pump things up just a bit with an all-star take on 'Family Feud' that crowded the show's stage with a metric ton of Hollywood talent.
