Artists, Here’s a Chance to Turn Parts of Byron, Illinois Into Your Canvas

City of Byron leaders have several outdoor walls around the city that they'd like to let you turn into a unique mural. Don't let this opportunity slip away.

When a chance to do something great like this comes along, the last thing you want to do is sleep on it. It's not everyday that a city reaches out to the artist community like this.

Via Facebook, the City of Byron put a call out to all artists to help them do something special.

The city has some big outdoor walls that need something more than a fresh coat of paint. They need a unique mural. Correction, they need several.

Have you always wanted to try this kind of large media?

What a tremendous opportunity for someone in high school art student, or perhaps a college art major. If you're already a working artist looking for a place to showcase your skills, they'd love to hear from you, as well.

According to the recent announcement from the City of Byron, they'll also assist with the cost of paint and materials. I'd be willing to bet that if those costs got to be too great, you could find donors to help.
