For a while there, I was obsessed with American Pickers.

I even managed to talk my wife into taking a trip to LeClaire, Iowa just to check out their shop.

In the years since it's hasn't been quite the priority it used to be but checking out the show here and there reminds me why I used to love American Pickers.

When I heard the news yesterday, the love for the longtime TV staple grew just a bit more.

Patch via MSN:

The American Pickers are coming to Illinois in May and are looking for leads on unique collections to pick through. If you or someone you know has a large, private collection or an accumulation of antiques that the pickers can spend the better part of a day foraging through, send your name, phone number, location and description of the collection with photos to: americanpickers@cineflix.com; or call 855-OLD RUST.

Reading that made me wish I could qualify but I don't believe I have anything of value worth picking through. If you know someone who's got the perfect pile of stuff for the American Pickers, they might be coming to see you.

For more American Pickers info check them out on Facebook.
