Coronavirus concerns have now forced major movie theater chains to close up shop.

AMC Theatres with two movie houses in the Rockford area, said on Facebook yesterday:

Effective today, all 630 AMC locations in the country will close for at least six to 12 weeks, in compliance with local, state and federal directives, and as a precaution to help ensure the health and safety of our guests and theatre staff.

Those who have AMC Theatres A-List memberships will be paused during the closure.

The post also touted their AMC Theatres on Demand streaming service as an alternative while shut down.

Were you going to the movies before the coronavirus crisis hit the US? When they re-open will you return?
