A $200 Sam Adams Beer is Illegal in 11 States, NOT Illinois
O.K., I want to try this. The word "illegal" has me thirsty.
According to Vine Pair, there is a $200 bottle of beer that Sam Adams has produced that is illegal in 11 states. The beer is called "Utopias" and it has 28% alcohol by volume, wow! The extremely high level of alcohol is the reason for it being illegal in 11 states, which include:
- Arkansas
- Georgia
- Idaho
- Mississippi
- Montana
- New Hampshire
- North Carolina
- South Carolina
- Tennessee
- Vermont
- Washington
Now what's not on this list is Illinois. I do not see myself buying a $200 bottle of beer but I sure would like to try this.
Here is the taste description:
"Utopias tastes similar to vintage Port, Cognac, and Sherry, with aspects of dark fruit, subtle sweetness, and a deep rich malty smoothness".
Just a sip, maybe a glass, I don't think it would take much more!
