Lifetime Movie Network will the airing a special on the 1957 kidnapping of Sycamore child Maria Ridulph.

On December 3, 1957, Maria Ridulph was 7 years old. Wikipedia says that she was offered a piggy back ride, and never returned home. Her body was discovered in a field 5 months later. This case became cold for 55 years until Jack McCullough was arrested in July of 2011. Some even say that the case was the oldest unsolved murder resultin in an arrest in the United States.

Charles Ridulph, the brother of Maria, will be among the Sycamore residents watching this movie premiere.

Charles told the Daily Chronicle, "I've been very emotional over this whole thing. You would think soon I wouldn't be so emotional. ... I would guess there are some things that are going to trouble me."

The documentary film will feature interviews by family members, childhood friends, and others in the community as well as photos, evidence and reenactments.

There has been a book written by Charles Lachman about this tragedy called "Footsteps In The Snow" as well as other television programs.
