1920’s Valencia Gardens Apartments to be Renovated
Construction in downtown Rockford at North Court Street and Fisher Avenue to start soon.
The Valencia Gardens Apartments has needed work for years. These Spanish style buildings were designed in the 1920s by local architect Jesse Barloga.
According to RRSTAR the renovation on these buildings has been postponed for quite a few years due to budget issues.
Alderman finally approved a $2.85 million dollar deal to get this project underway.
The outside of these buildings are amazing. The design and Spanish Revival-style is beautiful and adds something special to the neighborhood.
Take a drive to North Court and Fisher and take a look, the construction starts soon.
Any type of work like this to help make Rockford shine a little brighter is always welcomed.
