I've been covering casting calls for extras for a while now, I don't think I've ever seen a price tag this hefty before.

I mean, I've been interested in joining a commercial, TV, or movie shoot for as long as I can remember, and money was never the thing holding me back.

Time and travel have always been the reason why I never went after a casting call.

It's not like the pay is bad for most TV shows and movies when something like NBC's Chicago dramas needs extras. A $100 or so for a day on the set and the opportunity to end up on TV was always worth it.

However, when I saw this listing on Project Casting, time and travel is no reason to skip out on the opportunity.

It's titled $1800 Commercial Casting Call:

Project Casting:

Casting directors are now casting actors to work on scenes filming in Chicago, Illinois

The rate is $1500-$1800 a day. That's an insane amount of dough to join a commercial.

I also noticed Project Casting other listings right now for extras on STARZ Power Book IV: Force and HBO Max's Somebody Somewhere with the latter filming in the western Chicago suburbs.

Have you ever ended up on TV or in a movie or commercial? What was your experience like?
