There is something quite addicting about the murder mystery shows on television. It never fails. Every time I watch a marathon of these shows I can't sleep for the next few days or so.

I'm afraid of everything. Well not everything, but pretty close. Spiders, thunder, any bug, sleeping with unlocked doors... my list of silly fears goes on forever.

What happened to Catrina McGhaw in Missouri was probably the creepiest thing that could ever happen to someone while watching a murder mystery show... her house, that she was living in, was on the show. She had no idea what horrific things had happened in her house.

According to WGNTV.com, the home she was comfortably living in was once owned by Maury Travis, who used the basement as a torture chamber. Not to mention, the freebie table that came with the house was part of the crime scene photos being shown on TV!

If I was Catrina, I would have packed up my bags and ran. No way Jose! GET ME OUT OF HERE! It's exactly what Catrina tried to do... until she spoke to her landlord.

Turns out, the landlord wasn't sympathetic to her by any means. Catrina's landlord is the killer, Maury Travis', mom!

Catrina couldn't get out of the lease with her landlord and had to take the matter to the St. Louis Housing Authority. Lucky for her, she will be moving out of her home towards the end of this month. You can read more of this story here.

If I was in Catrina's position I'm not quite sure how I would react. I would probably have to immediately stop watching the cold case file and murder mystery shows on T.V. I couldn't imagine living somewhere where a killer has ruined countless numbers of lives. The house must be haunted!

Have you ever seen something on T.V. that scared you and came a 'little to close to home?' What would you do?
