A police department in Wisconsin got some help from a strange source, mosquitoes.

If you've been outside anytime lately, then you know there's a serious mosquito problem in our area.

I know it's hard to believe but for once, these little bugs were helpful.

According to abc7chicago.com,

"Pesky mosquitoes brought a high-speed police chase to an end in Wisconsin's Fond du Lac County."

A man stole liquor from a grocery store and a police chase started.

The suspect jumped out of the vehicle and ran into a cornfield to hide but he didn't stay very long.

"An hour later, the fugitive put up his hands and surrendered, saying he couldn't stand the swarming mosquitoes."

Without those pesky bugs, the man might have gotten away.

Thank you to the mosquitoes for the assist. I wonder if there is a way to give them an award?
