Animals are angels, especially dogs. My dog Pip was my saving grace during one of the most difficult periods of my life. I was recently married and had moved to Wisconsin for a job; leaving my then-husband and son behind for nine months. The woman I rented room from was dog sitting Pip for what was supposed to only be a week, but ended up being a foster when his owner was diagnosed with terminal cancer. He was the only friend I had in Wisconsin; he kept me company and he kept me sane. I still think of the times he'd be standing outside my door and I'd say, "who's there," and he would jump up and down so I could hear the jingles of the many tags on his dog collar.

And it's because of similar tags on one dog's collar that another person, who had to give up their dog because they'd fallen on hard times, was able to be reunited with their long lost furry friend.

Winnebago Animal County Services shared the incredible story of Jose and Chaos on their Facebook page and a video of their reunion that'll bring tears to your eyes. It's a beautifully written piece that definitely deserves to be shared.

I couldn't have said anything better about this touching story, myself.

Thank you, WACS for all that you do for animals in need and sharing this heartwarming reunion.
