Is the saying true? Don't eat before bed because you will get fat?

Last night after binge eating a delicious pasta dinner with my hunny, we decided to watch a television show about storm chasers.

I've always wanted to be a storm chaser so I thought this show was going to be so awesome. It couldn't be further from the truth. We both fell asleep on the couch.

I woke up on the couch at 2:35 a.m. (thank goodness because I did't set an alarm) and I checked my phone as I walked through the kitchen and up stairs to our bedroom.

The first text message I see that I missed is from my friend Michelle. It said "I ate ice cream and some frosting."

I instantly wanted frosting. So I went to the fridge, still half asleep grabbed a spoon and scooped out a quick bit of frosting. It was yellow frosting if that matters. I'm not sure of the flavor. It wasn't vanilla, wasn't lemon, just sugar flavor I suppose.

Then I went to bed.

The next morning I thought to myself how silly that was. I ate frosting in the middle of the night. I didn't need it, but I sure wanted it. I blame Michelle.

I don't believe in all the hype, that you can't eat after 8 p.m. or it will make you fat. Why? Well, I know that if you starve your body when it is hungry, it is just as bad as not eating.

So let us get to the bottom of it! Does eating after 8 p.m. really make you fat?
