It's the age old debate, Mrs. Fishers vs. Ole Salty's. Which is your favorite potato chip?

I have to say that growing up close to Chicago, I didn't even know these two chips existed until my time came here at The Eagle. I've asked my friends and co-workers at the station which they liked the best and it is quite the heated debate.

Before I dive into the two huge bags sitting on my desk I decided I would write out a list of pros and cons based solely on the packaging. (I take my potato chips seriously.)

Mrs. Fishers:

Pros: Easy to read packaging. Gluten Free. 16 big delicious ounces of crunchiness for only $3! (They were on sale two for $3, not bad.) I like that the back of the bag is plain and only has the ingredients listed. I don't like reading material with my chips... I want to just dive in.

Cons: With the big 'One Pound' on the front label, I would feel really guilty if I ate the entire bag in one sitting. Bag is really big, and I can feel that there is a bit of 'air filling' if you know what I mean. The strange dancing potato guy with a hat is creepy.

Ole Salty's:

Pros: It says right on the bag "Less Air, More Chips" which feels to be true. I like that the bag is a bit smaller and easier to carry. Something about the blue and red stripes reminds me of a baseball game. I love baseball games.

Cons: For the same price ($3) I only get 12.5 oz of deliciousness (as apposed to the Mrs. Fisher's where I get 16 oz) The creepy old guy yelling on the bottom makes me feel like he is yelling at me for eating too many chips.

I've noticed that each of them have the same ingredients: potatoes, partially hydrogenated soybean oil and salt. Basic enough. But will the same ingredients yield different results? Only one way to find out. TASTE TEST!
