What Happens To Large Trash Items? [VIDEO]

I am completely mesmerized by this incredible video shredding couches, refrigerators and more.

Every year in my hometown, there are two days a year where you can throw out unlimited garbage.

It's a field day for me, as I love turning trash into treasures. Couches, furniture, appliances, televisions and more are piled high on the curb, free for the taking and trashing.

This got me thinking, how in the world do the garbage men lift all this stuff? Better yet, where does it all go?

I stumbled upon this incredible video on YouTube showing this incredible compactor, shredder, monster thingy eating huge garbage pieces.

I was in awe watching it take items I can't even lift because they are so big and transforming them into tiny scraps for trash.
