Weather Update: City Of Rockford Declares Snow Emergency

We've been telling you about this storm for a week and now it looks like its already started. It seems we could get around 4 to 8 inches of accumulation followed by extreme winds over the weekend as well as snow drifts and dangerously cold temps. The City of Rockford has officially declared a snow emergency starting at 9 pm tonight.

They have noted in their post that the Odd/Even parking ordinance will be in effect. As of 9pm tonight vehicles need to be parked on the even address side of the street. Tomorrow starting at 8am, you need to make sure you move your vehicles to the odd side of the street.

Just be careful out there this weekend and if you do have to go somewhere just make sure to bring a cold weather kit in your car. Stay safe.
