Through the years, there have been legendary concerts in our area. The Rolling Stones at the Metrocentre, Kiss at the Armory, and Ted Nugent at Rockford Speedway.

One of the biggest shows was AC/DC, Cheap Trick, Molly Hatchet, and The Babys on July 4, 1979 at the Winnebago County Fairgrounds in Pecantonica.

Here's a video of Cheap Trick from that day. It includes the songs "Hello There" and "Come On, Come On," and parts of "Stiff Competition."
