What vehicles can you drive the longest around Rockford?

Some people like updating their vehicle frequently. They may get a different one every year or at least every other year. They need the newest and the coolest.

Other people will wait until they pay off a vehicle, then they will purchase something else.

Then there are people like me, who'll drive a car until it dies. Here are some of the vehicles I have owned and the mileage I've gone with them.

- 1987 Toyota Camry (270,000 miles)

- 1989 Chevrolet Cavalier (220,000 miles)

- 1990 Toyota Camry (240,000 miles)

- 1999 Toyota Corolla (153,000 miles)

- 2003 Mazda Tribute (125,000 miles)

As you can see, I really do keep my cars for a long time. Imagine how many times up and down Alpine Road that would cover.

If you're like me, you want a car you can go at least 100,000 miles. Maybe even 200,000 miles.

According to iseecars.com,

"SUVs are the best bets for consumers who want a vehicle that will last at least 200,000 miles. Analysis of more than 13 million cars on the road, the Ford Expedition ranks first."

That's a lot trips to Beef A Roo and back for lunch.
