Tulsa Soccer Team Ditches National Anthem, Should Rockford Sports? (Poll)
Let me start by saying, this is me polling you. This does NOT contain personal opinion nor will I weigh in on this. I want to know what YOU think.
There's a soccer club in Oklahoma that is getting rid of the National Anthem prior to the start of their matches.
From KIRO7 the Tulsa Athletic, from the National Premier Soccer League will get ride of the National Anthem...
"After carefully reviewing ‘The Star-Spangled Banner’ lyrics and meaning, including the third verse which mentions ‘No refuge could save the hireling and slave / From the terror of flight or the gloom of the grave…,’ Tulsa Athletic came to the decision that the song does not align with the club’s core values.” - Tulsa Athletic
The team will play "This Land Is Your Land” by Woody Guthrie, instead.
So here is the question for you, Rockford...what should WE do?
You're going to a race at The Rockford Speedway, a ballgame at Rivet's Stadium...do you want to hear the National Anthem, or not?
