Trampoline Takes Flight at DeKalb County Home

On Wednesday evening, portions of the Stateline received heavy downpours, hail, and extreme winds. Not everyone everyone experienced the severe weather, for those that did, it was intense.

In Somonauk, in Southern DeKalb County, Stephanie Kemp was looking out her patio window as the storm approached, with a camera in hand, when she captured the moment her backyard trampoline took flight, and boy did it fly!

Stephanie told me that the storm about lasted about a half hour. She estimates the winds clocked in at 72 mph, and she received over 4 inches of rain. Most impotantly, she let me know that no one was injured.

Stephanie offers this advice for anyone who decides to own a trampoline. "BUY ANCHORS!" Stephanie, we love your sense of humor.
