You won't believe what candy has been ranked as the worst Halloween candy to give and to get on October 31st.

According to a survey that NBC Chicago shared from Candystore.com, Circus Peanuts were ranked as the worst Halloween candy.

I'm really surprised by this one.

I like Circus Peanuts, they remind me of my grandpa. He always had a candy dish full of them. Maybe it's the nostalgia, but I don't think they're that bad.

In second place is Candy Corn. Again, I don't mind it. However, I think Candy Corn is one of those you either like it or loathe it.

"Wax cola bottles, Necco Wafers, and peanut butter kisses round out the top 5."

O.K., I agree with those being the worst. Especially those nasty orange and black wrapped peanut butter kisses. Barf-o-Rama. Yuck!

Tootsie Rolls checked in at number six, Smarties at 7, licorice at 8, Good & Plenty at 9th, and Mary Jane’s fell into 10th place."

Again I agree with those candies as being the yucky candies you'd find in your Halloween bucket too.

Now if it were fruit flavored Tootsie Rolls, that would be a different story. I love those, especially the vanilla and lime flavored rolls.

As for the top candies. The #1 favored candies are Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. "Followed by Snickers and Twix."

The moral of this story is that this weekend when you find yourself standing in the Halloween candy aisle deciding on what you'd like to hand out to the little urchins that come knocking on your door Wednesday, hopefully, this can be your guide of what not get.
