The Revenant won Best Motion Picture Drama at the 2016 Golden Globes on Sunday.

Alejandro G. Iñarritu’s survival epic features Leonard DiCaprio as real-life fur trader Hugh Glass, who gets left for dead by his follow frontiersmen (Tom Hardy, Domhnall Gleeson). The Revenant won big on Sunday night, with Iñarritu taking home the prize for Best Director and DiCaprio winning for Best Actor in a Drama. The film was also nominated for Best Original Score.

In his acceptance speech, Iñarritu said he was proud “to have survived the film.” Earlier in the night, Iñarritu alluded to the film’s controversial shoot when accepting his Globe for Best Director.

Last year, Richard Linklater’s Boyhood won the Golden Globe for Best Drama.
