The return of the XFL football league will include St. Louis but not Chicago.

Football is my favorite sport. I played in 5th grade all the way through high school. My family has been Chicago Bear season ticket holders since 1982.

When the XFL came out in 2001, I was curious, so I went to see the Chicago Enforcers play at Soldier Field. I had a great time. Unfortunately, the league only lasted one season.

Recently, it was announced that it was coming back in 2020. They made a huge announcement this week.

According to cbssports.com,

"The new XFL took a step toward reality on Wednesday with the reveal of its eight teams and stadiums."

I was very surprised that Chicago was not included. The closest location to Rockford is St. Louis.

Here are the 2020 XFL teams & stadiums.

  • City: St. Louis
Stadium: The Dome at America's Center (St. Louis, Missouri)
  • City: Dallas
Stadium: Globe Life Park in Arlington (Arlington, Texas)
  • City: Houston
    Stadium: TDECU Stadium (Houston, Texas)
  • City: Los Angeles
    Stadium: StubHub Center (Carson, California)
  • City: New York
Stadium: MetLife Stadium (East Rutherford, New Jersey)
  • City: Seattle

  • City: Tampa
Stadium: Raymond James Stadium (Tampa, Florida)
