Plan your meal wisely because the Chicago Bears are playing on Thanksgiving.

Since I was young, Thanksgiving and football have gone hand in hand.

I watch football, eat, and then watch more football.

For the past several years, I didn't really care when we ate because there are now three games to watch. Plenty to enjoy.

Lately, when the Bears played, I didn't let it get in the way of our family feast because honestly, the team was horrible. That's coming from a lifelong fan.

Now, things are different. They are playing well. Games are "must see."

As my family is starting to make plans for the holiday, a giant red flag has popped up.

We usually get together early in the day. More of like a lunch.

Well, Chicago is playing in the Detroit for the first game. That means an 11:30 am start time.

I have to account for travel time. Do I want to check out some pregame? What if they go into over? It has happened in the past.

The scheduling of my day is going to have to be done very carefully. That way I'll be able to have the best of both worlds.

I just wanted to give you a heads up.

I hope you have a wonderful Turkey Day.

Go Bears!
