An Australian job finding agency says companies are more likely to give pay raises to those who take more selfies.

I pride myself in not being the one to take 'too many' selfies. The occasional "look I got my hair cut selfie" or "hey, I'm hanging out with this cool person" selfie seem to be enough for me.

I do follow a few people on the photo sharing site Instagram that must have nothing better to do with their time than take selfies. My Instagram, Twitter and Facebook are filled with people taking selfies. I think it becomes a little too self absorbed. But I digress.

A company called The Job Factory says it finds that companies are more likely to give pay raises to employees who love taking selfies compared to those who prefer a much lower profile.

Why?

Craig Binnie says employers "look for go-getters who display confidence, drive and ambition" and they believe that selfie fanatics exude a lot of self-confidence.

Do you think there is any truth to this?

I'm not sure either... but hold on, I've got to go take a selfie.
