Imagine a place with zero violent crime. Sound like a mythical place? It's a reality in a small Illinois town that is officially the safest city in the state for 2024 and began its existence as a stagecoach stop way back in 1834.
I've got good news and I've got bad news for one Missouri city. First of all, the good news is it was just named the safest place in the state for 2024. The bad news? It's a very short drive away from murder.
Call this a character flaw (I have many), but I don't appreciate being told what to do. That's why I won't do that here, but I will offer some thoughts on items you probably would be wise to avoid buying from a Missouri Dollar Store.
I don't question that this tiny Missouri place is a great place to live. I'm not even gonna argue that it shouldn't be called the 'best place to live in Missouri' like it just was. I just find it funny (wrong word) that it's practically in the armpit of what many call the 'murder capital' of America.
