It's almost time to go back to school! Crazy right?

Summer 2019 is coming to a close, and it's time to make sure the kids are ready for the new school year. What's a major key to success when it comes to school?

BREAKFAST! No kid should start their day hungry or needing breakfast. So SwedishAmerican is hosting its first ever cereal drive to make sure kids get the nutrition they need before heading off to school.

The hospital is asking its employees and the community to donate boxes of hot or cold cereal, and they’re hoping to get as many donations as possible to kick off the school year. The donations will be given to the Rock River Food Pantry, located at 421 S Rockton Ave.

Out of the thousands the pantry serves from month to month, one third of them are children. Donations of cereal can be dropped off at SwedishAmerican Hospital or any of the clinics through next Thursday, August 22nd.
