Stryper’s Michael Sweet Discusses The Future Of The Band

Michael Sweet is the singer and guitar player from Stryper. He gives an update on the band and his other projects.

Growing up, my parents had some family friends that lived in Huntley. We usually went to see them a couple of times a year. I looked forward to it because one of their sons was big into rock music like me. He always had cool new bands for me to check out.

On one particular visit, he asked me If I ever heard of a band called Stryper. My response was "Aren't they a Christian band?" He said yes, but they rock. That was the first time I ever heard the song Soldiers Under Command. He was right.

Michael Sweet from Stryper is one of the hardest working guys in the business. Besides Stryper, he has done many other projects. He spent time as a member of Boston, has a band with George Lynch from Dokken called Sweet Lynch, and numerous solo albums.

I had the opportunity to talk to Michael about Stryper, his other projects, and some other fun things. Here is the interview.
