Lucasfilm announced on Wednesday, May 16th, that it's biennial convention a Star Wars Celebration is coming to Chicago! The McCormick Place will host the ultimate fan gathering starting April 11 to 15, 2019.

Like any other convention, it will play host to film directors, actors, writer, or any other creatives involved. The only difference is this one will take place solely in a galaxy far, far, away, the Star War universe.

Most convention-goers are often treated to a first look at the trailer for the upcoming film.  Since the Chicago Celebration will take place just eight months before the untitled Star Wars: Episode IX opens, it's same to say fans in attendance will get some sort of sneak peek.

The last Star Wars Celebration took place in Orlando, FL in 2017 with more than 70,000 fans in attendance. Fans were treated to such names as Harrison Ford and Mark Hamil.

Ticket prices have yet to be announced, but pricing for the 2017 event ranged from $60 to $85 for a single day ticket. With four day passes costing anywhere from $150 to $170.

Tickets will go on sale Tuesday, June 5 at noon CST, use starwarcelebration.com as your best source to get them.

Star Wars fan from all over the world are going to be wanting to attend, so getting your tickets sooner than later would be best. May the Force be with you on that one!

A Star Wars Celebration is organized by ReedPop, who happen to be the same people who put C2E2 on each year at the McCormick Place.
