Star Wars and Free Comic Book Day This Saturday

It's like Christmas in May!! Well at least for me it is.

Every year the first Saturday in May is Free Comic Book Day. And the name is just what it implies.

Certain comic book companies will put out special titles that are available for FREE on this specific day.

Some even feature comic favorites like the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Star Wars, Avengers, and the Justice League.

The cool thing is that they have books for kids too.

I've been taking my oldest since she was two and now we're getting my youngest in on the action. Raising Readers!!

This year Free Comic Book Day just happens to fall on May 4th. Being the good little Star Wars fanatic that I am, I'm super pumped for Saturday!

The Stateline has a lot lined up for this special occasion too!

Three local libraries will be hosting a Star Wars Day event of some sort.

All of these events are free admission too!

They will be held at the Cherry Valley Village Hall Barn, Rockford Public Library Rockton Centre, and the Rockford Public Library Hart Interim.

If you're wanting to get your hands on a free comic book, you'll have six different stores to visit to pick one up.
