If you are a big fan of sneakers, you're definitely going to want to check out Sneaker Fest this weekend in Peoria.

Sneakers are a big deal.

I have a friend that makes big money buying and selling them on the internet.

I'm a big fan of "Chucks," Converse All-Stars. When I was in high school, I had several pairs in different colors and styles.

I remember when "Air Jordans" were released. They were so valuable, you had to be careful because people would steal them.

Collecting sneakers is a huge thing. So much so, there are now sneaker conventions.

According to pjstar.com,

"Sneaker Fest is being held this Saturday from 11am - 7:30pm at the Peoria Civic Center Ballroom while the Illinois High School Athletics Boys State Finals are being played in the arena."

It's considered the ultimate sneaker marketplace where you can buy, sell, or trade shoes.

Several vendors will be on hand featuring popular and rare shoes. Some clothing items will be available too.

There will also be DJ's, raffles, and live music.

The admission is $10.

Enjoy sneaker shopping.
