Former Skid Row frontman Sebastian Bach has spoken out on last year's abandoned Skid Row reunion, telling Dean Delray on the comedian's Let There Be Talk podcast that talks got as far as shows being booked for this summer.

"There's gigs booked - we had gigs!" Bach says. "Like, we had a whole tour this summer at all those, you know, Rock on the Range, it was all gonna happen, but then it just didn't happen for...you'd have to do an interview with those guys. But as we said, everybody's dyin', so, what's up? It's like, what, do you wanna do it when you're 70?"

Bach says that negotiations began in earnest, but were full of confusion when Skid Row named a new singer.

"I'm not gonna name names, because Lord knows it's enough of a mess, but [someone said], 'Hey, we want to talk about getting back in the same room together, let's see if we can do this,'" Bach says. "Right on! This is gonna be simple, man. This'll be great. And then I'll read on Blabbermouth the singer for Dragonforce (ZP Theart) is the guy and then I'll text, 'What the f--k's up man? Really? What happened with this?' 'Oh, no, no, no...' 'Well then why doesn't your manager call my manager?' So then their manager won't talk to me, and they won't talk to my guy, so what the f--k's going on?"

"But we couldn't even handle, like, a group text," he adds. "After a couple texts just, f---in misery. I'm like, 'Can we get in the f---in room?' No, that's out of the question."

Bach was fired from Skid Row in 1996 following infighting with the band and an apparent dispute about opening for Kiss on the the group's wildly successful 1996 reunion. Bach ended up communicating with the band recently when he got word they were slated to share a bill at the Totally '80s Fest in Midland, Tex. last September.

"The last contact I had with them, they did a gig in Texas. Skid Row opening up for Tiffany and I didn't think it was true, 'cause somebody sent me a poster on Twitter," Bach says. "And I thought it was fake, 'cause it was '80s night [Totally '80s Fest] Tiffany, Flavor Flav and Skid Row, with the Skid Row logo on there. I go, 'This is not true.' So I sent it to Eddie Trunk. He goes, 'That's bulls--t.'"

"So then I did a gig in Jersey and this guy came up backstage. He goes, 'Yeah, I'm Rachel's [Bolan, Skid Row bassist] best friend.' I go, 'Dude, please, can you ask him what the f--k is up with this?' Then the next morning I woke up and it was, like, just, 'You're ripping me apart to my friends.' And I go, 'Dude, I'm just f---ing asking a question. Is this true, is this not true? I'm not ripping anybody apart.' I'm, like, 'Are you guys opening for Tiffany?' It's a question that I could maybe ask, being that when people see the Skid Row logo, most of them think I'm gonna be there. So maybe that's something I could maybe address. That was the last contact I had with 'em."

Despite the reunion talks falling apart, Bach doesn't rule anything out, but the lines of communication would have to go down better than the last time.

"I mean, I don't know," he says. "This is all happening at the time of the Guns N' Roses reunion, where I'm jamming onstage with Guns N' Roses. We could probably maybe do a gig with them - maybe. It could have possibly happened. But, again, that would require the completion of a group text, and that's f---ing way too crazy [laughs], like, agreeing on a thread of a text. That's impossible. What can't they take success?'"
