Patrick Hoey, Assistant Deputy Chief of the Rockford Police Department, has retired.

According to rrstar.com,

"After thirty years, Patrick Hoey, an assistant deputy chief with the Rockford Police Department, is retiring."

I would like to thank Officer Hoey for his long service as a First Responder for our community. It's a tough job and I appreciate someone who has put in that kind of time. It's a big sacrifice.

He is also very involved with the community. He has been a Rockton Village Trustee, volunteer for Special Olympics, a member of the Rockton Lions Club, and on the board for Remedies Renewing Lives'. That is important too.

Good luck with your retirement. You will be missed.

If you happen to run into Assistant Deputy Chief Hoey, please congratulate him.
