According to KWQC the Lake County Board passed a measure that will be the first in the state of Illinois.

Lake County Illinois will raise the minimum age to buy tobacco to 21. Can you imagine the multi-billion dollar cigarette company's reactions to this?

The reason for the change in the minimum age is to reduce the number of people that begin smoking before they turn 21.

So is this something that Winnebago County should look into? Do you think raising the minimun age to buy tobacco would be a good idea for Rockford? What kind of effect does that have on the Rockford economy?
