A Rockford Reddit user wants to bring Trader Joe's to our town. They're using Reddit to rally others behind their cause.

Reddit user, FleshlightModel, recently posted a petition for fellow "Rockfordians" about how they wish the Forest City had a Trader Joe's.

I'm new-ish to the area and, by far, the most common discussion I have with my new coworkers, landlord, and peers I randomly meet are wishes there was a Trader Joe's in the Rockford/northern Il area. With severe boredom striking me today, I was curious to see if there were opportunities to open a TJ's franchise and attempt to secure financing/investment(s) to do this... Unfortunately, TJ's does not franchise, however, I found there is a store request submission link. I urge you to submit a request for a TJ's here if you want one, of course. For the location, I typed in Rockford, but also listed in the comments portion other locations (Rockton, Roscoe, Byron, and Freeport) as viable alternatives.

If you're not familiar with Trader Joe's, they're more like an upscale Aldi. However, you don't pack your groceries in boxes or your own grocery bags.

Oh and by the way, they are owned by the same company that owns Aldi's. That's why some things will look very similar.

So what do you think?

Would you like to see another grocery store move into Rockford?

Does Rockford need another one?

It certainly would give us a little more variety. Between the Schnucks, Wal-Marts and Meijers.

As for me I'd like to see a Trader Joe's here.
